What year did they start using dipsticks in power steering caps?

Probably sometime around 1973 or 1974 when the "dipsticks" were regulating this and that, and then the dipsticks decided that power steering caps needed dipsticks so they could measure the amount of oil being lost to the environment.  :lol: sorry couldn't resist  :icon_smile_big:

Just added a Hydraboost setup on my Daytona clone and took it for a drive today, PS fluid got so hot it melted the dipstick in my Saginaw reservoir. Was original 70 challenger rat has ps dip stick too.
