That looks like a lot of fun.  Did they detail the car for you before shooting?

Nah. I just gave it a wash a few days before, and showed up. No prep, except for the prop trash to scatter over the dash to show an extended surveillance by one of the characters. Maybe I'll get the '73 Charger in the next movie (we did discuss it and the timeline works....  ;) )

It was a 2-1/2 hour trip over to Antioch, during a heat wave (95 deg) in stop and go traffic. My ole girl had slight green burp when I stopped to fill her up. Couldn't blame her. She is a Trooper though.

A few more photos

Photo 1. Shooting Gacy at his front door.
Photo 2. The local actor Paul Jennings as Gacy
Photo 3. Shooting the detectives in the Charger at Gacy's house
Photo 4. A good shot of the scene. Man, those Chargers look good....

UPDATE

I just saw a promo for the movie(s) on the tube. The 1-hr made for TV movies are part of the "Behind The Screams" franchise for REELZ and is set to start airing September 26th at 10:00 pm EST. I would guess the episode that has my Charger would air October 10th, at 10:00 pm EST as it is the 3rd of 6 movies listed on various entertainment websites. I've attached the general promo for the particular movie my car is in.

"The Real Clown Killer" – In 1970s Chicago teenage boys are going missing by the dozen. But investigators are overlooking an important clue– all of the missing boys share a connection with an upstanding community member who is leading a double life. He's a power hungry sadist that can't get enough. Serial killer John Wayne Gacy is the original killer clown– the monster that inspired so many evil, clown-faced villains.

So look for this movie on REELZ sometime around the 10th of October, 10 pm east coast time and 7 pm west coast time. Should be a blast to see the '68 steal the scenes.

Saw the show this weekend, really cool. Your car looks great.

I see the damage is still there from your tow truck mishap a while ago. I had a similar experience recently and thought of you right away.

Thanks,

Thanks, John. Fun to see my car in a movie. I was a grimacing a bit when they focused upon the front left end of the Charger, but I guess they wanted a sad but gritty scene when they were explaining why the young man that owned it loved it, would not have left it out on the street. Did you notice that the detectives were also in the car? And the young man looking for Gacy. They used the '68 everywhere they could.  ;)

I missed those Dan, I'll watch it again.

I have to say I was glad the damage wasn't worse.
