On my '71 Charger I am using a '73 Charger as my donor. This is what the tech article from Moparts suggested. Now I notice the caliper is mounted rear of the spindle on the '73 where the '71 was mounted forward. Also I have since read the spindle is taller. Can I reverse the spindle (left to right)  to make it have a stock appearance? It seems to mount the same. Will the taller spindle make for problems?

Yes you can swap sides, just make sure the caliper will clear the sway bar.  A taller spindle will change the camber but you can adjust that with the upper control arm camber bolts.  Just get an allignment done when you've made the swap.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
