I have a 1968 charger original 318 w/ AC car that i am swapping a 440 w/ ac into. I dont know jack about radiators and I was looking for some guidance as to what size, brand, how many rows, fan shroud vs no shroud etc. Any help is appreciated

I'm not much on the subject but if you do a search on "cooling problems" you'll learn bunches quickly!  :2thumbs:

I just installed this radiator in my car, and the 'temps dropped 20-30* during cruise and light traffic:

I'm not the only member here that uses it either; Bryan/A383wing has been using that radiator for years, and it has served him flawlessly.  Another aluminum radiator that I like and think of as an alternative are the direct/exact fit radiators from Griffin.  Much more spendy than the ECP radiator that I bought, but still just as worth it.

Also, keep in mind that the number of rows in a radiator doesn't necessarily mean it will cool more; it's the diameters of the tubes that matter.  Bigger tubes will cool better than a radiator with more tubes but less diameter/surface area.  Read the information on speedcooling.com for more detailed information.

Finally, ALWAYS run a fan shroud.  The cooling system is set up to run with one in place.  If you buy the radiator I posted above you can use a '70 and up 26" radiator fan shroud-they bolt up PERFECTLY.  I'm not sure if the '69 and earlier shrouds mount as easily.

How's your fan clutch?  What water pump do you have or plan to buy?
