Any of you used a summit or jegs roll cage in your charger or other type what did you use and how do you like it?

I've build at least two roll cages from Autochassisweld - can't remember the other ones.....

I thought they were good kits and they will modify to suit you. I've since bought a mandrel bender which paid for itself real quick.

Mine is custom. It's hard to beat it. Every car is different. I have heard good things about Chris Alston and s and w kits.

Is a roll cage bad for back seat drivers?  I want to put one in like the DOh has between front and rear passengers.

I'm running a S&W kit in my '67.  Fit great. I had custom rear bars made to follow the roof-line and drop down at the hinge area of the fold down trunk divider.  I can still open the panel with the bar installed.  With a little bit of custom trimming you can get them to fit in quite tight to the body.

Just be aware, bars are bad for non-helmeted people, especially rear passengers.

Bent my own for my Charger, installed a Chris alston Chassis works cage in my Monza. I was pretty nice, but pricey. I like doing them myself. Also made a cage for an s-10 drag truck, and 70 Nova.

There are a couple cage builders in my area. I just shop them when I need one. Like exhausts, in my experience these guys are cheaper than buying kits. And they are tailor made for your car. Sure, you probably wont be able to find them on an internet search, but asking around and finding them will usually pay off.
