Say hello to "Fiona". My 1973 Charger SE Brougham 400/727 "barn find". I bought her a few weeks ago, but she was sitting on three flat tires and a rim (It was fun dealing with the barrage of spiders and army of fire ants.. my big toe still itches like crazy!  :flame: ). It took a little coordinating to get over there (I work odd hours) and get her back on her feet, and then coordinate getting a tow truck lined up. Well today I got her loaded up and delivered to the house.   Now the fun can begin. My plan of attack is as follows:

1. Fuel system - Carb rebuild, gas tank (either clean or replace depending on condition), new fuel lines, new fuel pump/filters/etc.
2. Brakes - New Rotors, pads, master cylinder, brake lines, etc..
3. Electronics - Once I get her running and able to stop, then I'll address headlights, taillights, etc.. as needed/if needed
4. Exhaust - She has dual exhaust now, but who knows what's in there and what it sounds like. Also, it has the stock exhaust manifolds which will need to go. I'm going to want that DEEP throaty tone!  :D
5. Interior - Think "tuxedo".. I'm going to be changing the entire color of the interior to black and white. Black dash, black carpet, white seats, white headliner, white door/kick panels.
6. Exterior - Triple gloss back that looks like it's always dripping wet.  :drool5: Also wanting to add a six pack scoop, and eventually lose the vinyl and louvered windows.. well see how that plays out though.

Further down the road I'll have the engine rebuilt, and make it mean..  :D  I'm really wanting to the 451 conversion, but I'm going to hold off on that for now unless the engine HAS to be rebuilt.. then it's game on!  Also, I'll be redoing the suspension, but I'll have to do a lot of research on what's best for a 73. I've looked for kits, but all I really see is sway bars and maybe some bushing kits. No real performance kits to speak of.  :shruggy:

So that's my plan of attack...for now anyway...  in the meantime, enjoy the pics!

Was sad to see this go.. but it was time.  She went to a good home.

And here's "Fiona"!   :drool5:

That's why I saved it... you didn't really think I was going to throw it all away, did you?

This entire car is solid.. floorboards, trunk, rocker panels, etc..   :2thumbs: The paint is actually in really good shape.. it's a shame it's not already black!  I'd leave it like that for a while. lol.

Wow. That is in really good shape. Can't wait to see the transformation from "Dad" car to "Badmobile".

Looks really nice, might even pass as a nice survivor if you buff the paint and touch up the small rust spots.

I would really start with the technicals first and enjoy it on the road as much as I could......
Greetings from Belgium, the beer country

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

That cleaned up really well, I would love to find an interior that clean and original. It came with some really nice options. Nice score

Yep!  Shame it's not Black from the factory... then I'd try REALLY hard to keep the original paint.
