Today is my cars 45th birthday.  According to my Fender Tag, it was built on August 18th, 1970!  I know I am weird, but I have to say its fun to think that my 1971 RT was coming off the Assembly line 45 years ago!  Just wanted to share with some people who MIGHT understand....

Happy Birthday to your Charger!  Congrats on an early-build '71 R/T.

... or at least you can celebrate it's scheduled birthday. Close enough I suppose!

Date it was scheduled for is about the best you can do since actual build dates are not known.

Congrats to you and the car.  I can relate.  I "celebrated" my 36th anniversary of ownership of my Charger on the 14th with a nice cruise.   Was bought back in 1979 for $1400 and I have had it ever since.  Mine was made in July of 73 if the VIN is right.   It's also my first car.  Lot's of memories when I get in it and drive it.   Put on the classic rock station and I'm back in the day.

Yes, as stated, that was the SCHEDULED date, but that is as good as it gets.  I have often wondered exactly what day the assembly line truly started making cars, I know mine was pretty early based on the VIN, but that includes all models made at the factory (as I understand it).  I wish I knew how many Chargers were actually made in a typical day, and what day they truly started making Chargers....

Thanks to all of you for not making fun......I think its kind of cool to look back 45 years ago!

I celebrate this stuff too, haha.  Hope you had a good one!
