Just saw this on the web.

A Transportation Security Administration spokesperson said the passenger was stopped after officers detected the items in their carry-on bag.

A full list of the items found in the man's bag is below:

-three rope cutters with straight-edged blades

-one hatchet

-two smoke grenades

-12 bottle rockets (fireworks)

-one folding saw

-one fixed-blade knife

-one credit card knife

-one utility knife

-two folding knives

Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."? 

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us. 

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....
