Was not as powerful as we all thought we had in the HP dept.  YES I know we have lots of torque that's what makes our car go from point A to B, but HP we were weak at.   I like it when people think all old cars had like 600HP plus from the factory.

Well the only video there that represented "old power" was the first one.  A stock 440HP, back in the day was good for around 265 to 275 rwhp.  They were bad ass cars for the times, but no Hellcat for sure.  My mild build puts down around 340rwhp and with today's technology some of these old blocks are in the 1,000+ net hp.  I've never heard anyone voice the 600hp belief for stockers back in the day though.....
