Hey Y'all
If any of you are interested in the 70 Charger used in the first Fast & Furious the 1/18th scale one released not long ago from Hot Wheels is really the best one out there. It is a little pricey but worth it because it is much more accurate than the POS that was put out from Ertle when first released. I am surprised that the first one was done so crappy considering the other Chargers that they have done  (68,69, Daytona ) are pretty nicely done. They rushed it into production just like the model was and it just wasn't right.  :brickwall:
This car is packed extreamly well in the box from the factory to reduce any shipping issues. One real noticeable thing they could have done better on is the Fuel cap. It is not recessed enough into the quarter so it sits a bit high.
Anyway here are a couple of photos of mine fresh from the box before going into the case.

Wow. The details on that are excellent compared to a lot of them.

Yes they are going up a little at a time. I got mine for $130.00.
I sold some things on Ebay to finance this one.
Here are a couple more shots

How's the grille and bumper. Those never look right on the 70 models.

Here are some shots to answer your question.
Front bumper, Grill and Fenders are much more accurate than any of the other F&F diecast other than the Revell 1/24th one which is done nicely as well. Neither of them have the 68 or 69 front fenders with the bumper cut outs filled in like the plastic models and most other diecast do.  :brickwall: The one draw back on the 1/24th scale one is the blower belt is molded into the hood. :shruggy:  I plan to carefully use the Dremal on that one day to make it a bit more accurate.

Here is a YouTube link for a very good review on the Hot Wheels one I have pictured so you can really get a good look at the quality of it.

My first 70 was black so this one is near and dear to my heart. I have NEVER regretted anything I have done more in my life than trading that car into a Dodge dealer for an 84 Daytona Turbo Z. That was the worst and last Dodge I have ever owned and I was born and raised on Mopars but they don't make those anymore.
If I had met my wife before I went brain dead that day many years ago I would most likely still have my Charger because she would have taken the keys away from me and said No Flippin' Way !!!
