I removed the big nut that's at the center, but no amount of pulling will release the wheel. I'm I missing something?

Any help is appreciated.

You need a steering wheel puller to get it off the shaft. Fairly inexpensive at most auto parts stores. Mine was about $10.00, worked great both times used

Make sure you screw the nut on the column, to the end of the threads BEFORE you start pulling the steering wheel.  If you don't, you could mushroom the shaft, making removal of the steering wheel more difficult.
