Came across this charger on ebay, can't say I have ever seen this before.

Here is your chance to get a hold of harder and harder to find mopar muscle car..Each year it seems like these second generation Chargers, the 69's primarily, continue to soar in value but are becoming far more difficult to find. This Charger is no exception. The 1969 dodge charger r/t yes a real r/t car. Now its missing alot but these are rare and i think its better to get a shell then a restored car. You can make it the way you want not what someone else did. it is all original and does need to be restored and DESERVES to be. Will need rear quarters, fenders and a trunk pan. These are not easy to come by these days by any means. This car was a 440 8 3/4 car auto. Unfortunately the fender tag is missing.
It has a rare dual gas tank inlet tubes and holes on top of the quarters. I haven't been able to get a clear information about this and its the first time ive ever seen it... SELLING AT NO RESERVE!
message for buy it now or best offer motivated seller The good:
real r/t
fenders, doors dutchman panel, roof all look good.
good grill(not currently installed)
org 8 3/4
all side glass is there
org a-track radio( how cool!)
90% dash minus speedo
most of the org trim around car is there...minus rear window and drip rail trim

The bad:
needs the usual rear quarters not full half should work as the upper panels look good.
tail panel needs replacing
pass side floor
trunk floor
no front or rear glass
pass side trunk rail needs patch

An expert body man can craft one at any place he wants with a hammer and dolly. My brother in law shaped one in the left rear quarter of his '70 Road runner and it looks like it came from the factory like that. (Originally the filler neck was behind the rear license plate.)
Either that or someone cut the piece out of a left quarter panel and welded it in to the right side quarter panel.
I've seen pictures of a Black '69 before that had twin gas caps like this one.

yeah , custom job !!     although think the second generation was originally  desgined or  first drawings etc with duel  fuel fillers  :scratchchin:  but was  axed because of  cutting costs  , sure it was something like this  , unless I've imagined it  :slap:  I await to be corrected  :coolgleamA: :2thumbs:

I seem to remember this charger  for sale 8 /10 years ago on ebay  :scratchchin:

I didn't think it was a real deal, but I've learned to never say never with Chrysler... :icon_smile_big:

Ghoste

In this case I'll say never, this is just something that somebody did.  But Tan Top is correct in that the earliest clay mockups had two.

You would think he would at least clean the trash out of the interior (soda bottles, etc).

I'm glad they never did the twin gas filler thing.  What an ugly idea...

I love symmetry on cars, but not in this case.

Somehow I can't get the vision of dual smoke stacks out of my mind now.

$2,600 for that pile of junk?  That grill could be salvageable with some work so I'll give it a $500 value.  The rest is barely suitable for a parts car.

F8-4life

Reminds me of some lizard eyes peeking out of the quarter panels...
Im not into it, especially for the amount of work involved.
Just less trunk space and one more spot for someone to mess with your gas imo.

Yeah, I feel pretty good about mine after seeing that thing
