Came across this '73 Satellite for sale and noticed the decal as well as the color. Is that original?  :shruggy:

Must be the long lost 73 Plymouth that Richard never raced.   :2thumbs:

No, it's not even a real Petty logo on the car.

I'm not talking an actual Petty car  :nana:

I meant is it a real dealership decal or some weird package that ma mopar offered.

It's a 73, who cares.

Exactly, just like the rest of your posts, who cares  :nana:

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Basin Street Blue was still available in 1973, but I've never heard of a Petty model, or an "SE" Plymouth Satellite. The equivalent of Dodge SE in Plymouth B language was "Sebring Plus". If he was trying to fool people, he blew it just on that.

So I'd say with 99.9% certainty it's a custom job.

Owner built, not factory or Dealer built.

I do remember seeing a picture many years ago of a 1968/69 RoadRunner that was stated as being a prototype for a "Petty" car to be offered through dealerships.  It seems that if memory serves me correctly that the project was dropped...perhaps due to Petty's moving over to Ford for the 1969 season.   Again, not sure if the car was really factory built or just someone trying to pass off a custom Road Runner with rear spoiler, hood pins, etc.....
