How much would a used 8 3/4 from brake drum to brake drum cost? Nothing fancy. And I don't want something that is worn slap out either...
1969 Charger 383/auto
1969 Charger R/T 440/auto (waiting to be restored)
1972 Chevelle SS clone 383 sbc
1959 Chevy Apache short bed stepside
1968 Charger (glorified parts car)
Yes, I know I have too many cars. My wife reminds me daily.

There is a complete 8-3/4 rear end non suregrip 3.23 for sale here locally on craigslist for $300.

Kern Dog

THAT is an absolute steal at that price. The 3.23 chunk is worth $200 on its own. As each day passes, fewer of these remain. The B body axle has been a popular swap into Dusters and Darts for years, eating away the supply since A body 8.75 axles are ever more hard to find.

I think 8 3/4" prices are regional...I wouldn't pay $200 for non-Suregrip 3.23 in a drunken stupor but many would.

The OP didn't mention the year or body but that greatly affects the price.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
