Looking for correct expert advice from somebody who has already restored a set of hideaways or knows his facts!

1. If I have the hideaway surrounds re-chromed, I believe the correct color is argent silver..however does that paint have the texturing mixed in? who should I buy it from?

2. what is the correct paint color or code for the black paint used in between the chrome bars on the headlight doors? any secrets to painting inside all those meticulous places? I've heard of putting vasoline on the chrome bars and then spraying the black paint? anyone done this?

3. what are the correct colors for the charger arrow emblem in the center of the grill?

Thanks!! below are pictures of my hideaways

I don't know about the color codes, but when I repainted my hideaway grills I polished the chrome first, then sprayed them with semi-flat black and wiped the paint from the polished surfaces.

I'd apply some light coat of VASELINE on chromed strips and paint all around, then will be easier to wipe out paint over the chromed areas.

Arrow... red outside and black inside the arrow. What shade of red... can't tell it for sure... same than Magnum hood emblems
