This is the reason why people who bought the 2006 SRT8 charger plan to do....all preserved in their garage with 50 miles, photos, documents, everything hoping one day it will be worth millions in 30 plus years....

Ghoste

And they'd be right... if there were only about a dozen of them made and everybody wanted one in 30 years.  :smilielol:

Ghoste

Tomato tomahto.  There wont be anyone looking for 2006 Charger SRT's to pay giant dollars to own in 30, 45 or 80 years in my opinion.

That's why if I had a Hellcat I would be driving and enjoying it....not saving it for someone in the future.
New cars for an investment are not a sure thing......(even the Hellcat)

When you read the description including the words "race car" and then see a pristine car said to be "unrestored",  it would suggest that some key details of the renovation are missing.

The tune up cost it 12 miles, uh oh!

IIRC 10 second race cars from 1970 do not get built without significant modifications :hack:

TheAutoArchaeologist

Lets just say that everything posted about the car... is incorrect.  It has quarters replaced, the floors mostly replaced where they were hacked for Tubs.... the shaker was at one time fiberglassed to the hood.... lots of stuff missing.

Sublime/Sixpack

A desirable car, yes!  A true survivor? Not the way I see it. :Twocents:

Here we go with that (survivor) term again :slap:

IMO a survivor is one that remains as delivered and can be used as a good reference for the way things were built.  Of course a survivor may have a lot of age related issues due to miles and exposure to the elements.

This car is a cool car and has unique history but since many things have been tampered with the term feels wrong. It only survived it's trip to the first owner.

As for the miles on the car? That also is kinda cool but seems to lose value as being part of the selling points because of the changes made for racing.

Which would make it a "Non-Shaker"........or "Stationary Shaker"..... :scratchchin:

I would guess there wouldn't be any more shaking.   ;)

If ordered by the original owner to be a drag car, they would install their own tach, possibly even removing ALL the guages.
