Gauges pinned to the right

Hi Guys,
Just pulled the car out of storage and went for a cruise. All the gauges were pinned to the right? Happened last year as well but stopped after a few rides. Any ideas?

See what others say, but I think it could be a voltage regulator on the cluster not giving 5 V DC, but giving a lot more voltage, and it is something you need to fix right away.  I think a concern is a fire.

Sounds like a bad voltage limiter and yes, fix asap or at the very least you will have fried gauges.....

bad ground to dash volt regulator or the regulator is bad itself you risk ruining the gauges

What would need replacing? Pull the cluster out or the regulator unde the hood?

we are talking about the instrument cluster regulator behind the gauge cluster, not the voltage regulator for the charging system, completely different items

Right. So does the cluster have to come out in order to replace it? Is it a relative easy job or difficult?

I did mine with the cluster in. But you'll be on your back and in a bad position. I'd rather pull it now.

I live in Canada. What would I call this here? Both suppliers have no idea what a voltage limiter is.

Yes, they are solid state ones. the old style had points i believe. these are built better.

Premium Dash Decals carries an electronic one and are in Ontario. It's $40 and you know the shipping will be cheaper than coming from the States. You might want to check where they are made. The RTE is made in the US and is a quality unit.
