Does anyone know the best place to buy lap belts? And do they bolt to the seats themselves?

bill440rt

Seat belts bolt to the body (inner structure) of the car, not the seat.
You didn't specify year, but BE/A and PG Classics were offering repro seat belt sets.
I had my originals restored by Bill Edwards from Moparts.

Pretty sure the belts they offer are generic replacements, but they do restore original belts as well.   :2thumbs:

Here's where I got mine. He refurbishes originals with new straps and a mix of other new parts. They look great and the prices are very reasonable. :2thumbs:

What is an average price for a set?

If you go the cheap route 16.95 each....  http://wescoperformance.stores.yahoo.net/ll60.html  I just ordered some of these till I can afford proper redoing of mine.

I should have been more specific. I meant a complete set, front and back, from Bill Edwards.

I'm curious also. Anyone know the price for a complete set for 69 B body. From Bill Edwards. I didn't see any prices on the website.

I don't recall the exact price but I do know it was almost identical to get his exact reproduction belts, with new date tags, as it was to get the incorrect PG Classic set without date tags.

I'm looking for a new set for my 74. Want to find as close to original as possible.

I believe I have an extra set of 73 rears if that will help.  If interested I will look.

Thanks for the offer, but I have a set on the car. I just think it might be a good idea to replace 40 year old belts. Plus, as far as I know the 73 is different. Has the detachable shoulder belt, while the 74 doesn't.

Only the fronts have shoulder. Rears are the same except for the label, but no prob.
