I went to the winter fest at Zephyrhills yesterday. I was expecting a southern version of the one in PA. but it was pretty much a flea market with overpriced cars and a sprinkling of rusty Chevy parts. We drove our '72 to show it...not even a display area! The show is moving to Lakeland this fall, perhaps it will be better. The one silver lining was I found this stop light, even sequences like a normal one!

I have never been to a car parts/show in Florida that really impressed me.. Big Daddy's is about the best of the mopar shows down here.. I have not been in many years now, but at least they use to have some ok to good vendors there. What I didn't like is that STEPHENS MOPAR PARTS would get there early and stand in the check in road looking through trucks and trailers and making deals with people long before anyone else had a chance... One year he bought up every 4-speed that came through the gates.. Had them all for sale while there at 3-4 times what he paid. I think Troy was there that year as well. Maybe he'll remember that. Anyway, all he did was drive the price up in our neighborhood.. Of course nobody knew who he was, but I happened to see where he sent a few wagon loads of parts. That was enough to keep me from ever calling them for anything.

AK, look for info on the WEBSTER SHOW... I think it use to be the 1st Sunday of the month.. I have made some great deals there.

Webster huh? I'll do that!

I think my problem is I got spoiled at Carlisle, the NATS and even MATS in Vegas.

I think so too as I feel the same way.. After being to Carlisle and Hershey, even the MATS seamed very small.. Now bring it all down to the heavily retired population of Florida and there is just no comparison. Topping all that off, MOPAR was never real popular in Florida. Thankfully that has been changing with the retro cars.. I see Chally's by the train load everywhere here now!

Maybe I'll head up to Webster with you sometime. I haven't been in years, but I had done very well there the handful of times I went.  :2thumbs:
