well i finally decided what im going to go with on rims and tires

For tires im going with a pretty standard BFG radial (like most muscle car guys do) Good reviews, good tire, classic looks

for rims, i decided to go with year one magnum 500. Basically what the car came with but with a more modern look

I have a couple questions

1. I want to go with a bigger rim, right now im pretty sure i have the 14" i want to go with maybe a 16" Can someone tell me what offset i need to fit a stock charger with no rubbing?

2. also, i want to go with a wider tire than the pizza cutter that i have now, whats size tire do you suggest? I want that "mini tubbed" look, but i want a little beefier tire both front and back....what do you guys suggest?

edit...cant seem to find that tire in a 17" rim...i may go with a 15 inch rim to have a better tire choice

I can't recall what gen your car is but my '69 has 245 60 15/7x15 front and 275 60 15/8x15.

Another member tells me BFG has brought back the 295 60 15 which I'd buy
most Riki tik.........but I can't find a pair anywhere.

I'd mount these on 10x15's with 4.5" bs

Magnum 500 style wheels can be found in 14", 15" and 17" diameters and 4" to 14" widths in steel and aluminum.

14-15" steel versions will be a tad under $200 each and most commonly be found in 6",7", 8", and 10" versions.

15" American Racing billet aluminum versions will be around $350 each and are available in the 4" to 14" widths in each inch increment.

17" American Racing Billets will  be around $350 each but their widths are 7" to 11".

17" Year One cast aluminum from will be around $250 each and only available in 8" and 9" widths.

BFG TA classic white letter tires are not available in 17" sizes, but there are plenty of better selections anyway. In 15" I'd go with Mickey Thompson ST or Cooper Cobras before the BFGs. Not much selection in 15" rubber any more.

Cragars didnt pan out?  ;)

I do like them, but seeing magnums on a 69 charger is just a classic look that i love

Unfortunately, im going to have to wait on rims/tires till next year. Im having my 440 freshened up here in a week or so.....and that pretty much wiped out the budget for this year!
