Can anyone with TTI headers in a 71-74 B body with an RB engine post a picture of your ground clearance? I'm trying to determine how much below the K-member they hang. Much appreciated!!!

I don't have a 71-74 B body but I mounted the TTi 2 " headers with 3.5" collectors on my 70 Charger (440) and you can barely see the collectors from the side, the ground clearance is awsome. I also bought the full TTi exhaust system, it fits so good that its kinda sad when you don't even see the :2thumbs: exhaust system, you need to kneel down and take a peek under the car to be able to see it..

Here are 2 pics (Click the link) The first pic is taken in a slight angle, the second one is directly from the side...

Those look promissing. Thanks.

Because of the differences between generations, I'd still like to see some 3rd gen pics if anyone has them.

Chryco Psycho

they are extremely tight to the floor

With the TTi's you will have more room than just about any other large tube header, they really hug the floor.

You could also start with the TTIs, and then modify them.  TONS of room then.

Maybe merge the upper & lower tubes together before each of the collector areas.  You'd be making them into a very large set of Tri-Ys, with just two tubes going underneath the floor side-by-side, and then finally merging into a single tube in the area where a normal 4-into-1 collector would be.  Of course, you'd wanna make the new tubes out of a more medium-sized tubing somewhere in between the single-cylinder tubes and the final exhuast system tubes.

If I could bring myself to pay for TTI's, I'm not sure I could cut them up.

I decided to stick with my Hookers for various reasons. Thanks all for the input.

As a parting thought for others who may read this thinking of TTI's, they hug the floor tight, so tight I wondered what that acrid poisonous burning smell was when I first started my car after install.  My Charger has the full 3" exhaust with TTI headers.

My emergency brake cable "crossover" was lying against the top of the tubes.  Had to hill-billy wire up some looms attached to the bottom of my bucket seat bolts to hold the cable up off the exhaust tubing.  Now my left rear brake wants to apply it's self ahead of the other three once in a blue moon.  I check the drum and wheel for excess heat often, but no problems so far.

*Speed costs money son, how fast do you want to go, and for how long?"
*"Build the biggest engine you can afford the first time."
*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."
