I'll find the pad numbers soon...
I checked all around under the car by the tranny and saw no numbers at all.

Out of curiosity, is your engine ID pad (by the distributor) stamped with "HP"?

Sometimes the stamping is blocked by the alternator bracket, but I didn't know if you could still tell or had looked before.

There is no stamp of any kind on the pad by the distributor.

It was also my understanding that there was not 335 HP 383 in 68 Charger. Only roadrunner. Mine is the H code engine.
68 Charger 383 HP grandma car (the orignal 3X)

Mine is April 68, 383 4 Bbl, .....

PT 383 P 2446 1532
PT = Trenton, MI engine plant
383 = cu.in.
P = premium fuel
2446 = Monday 4/8/68 short block assembly date
1532 = engine sequence number (unit number per day)

Date on front pad?  What's your car's SPD?  Is it HAMTRAMK or St. LOUIS?  Do you have a b'cast sheet?
Empty front pad, automatic, Hamtrack factory. I haven´t broadcast sheet.

If I understand correctly, there was no 383 "Magnum" in 1968. It was just 383 2 barrel or 383 4 barrel.
I have a 68 HP 383 sitting around hoping that I find a 68 Superbee missing an engine. Not having any luck finding one (at least not when I have the cash to buy it).

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

My nephew has a '68 383HP engine in his '64 Fury - it's stamped "8A119???"

the ONLY possibility: it IS from RM21H8A119???
