I need to install new headers on my Charger this year since the old ones are rusty and one has a hole in it.
Since I'm limited in space and don't have a lift, I was wondering if it is possible to remove and install a set (like the summit ones)
from the top instead of having to jack the car way up and install from the bottom.
I've been looking at some of the instructions and figure if it can't be done from the top, I may have to pay to put it on a lift and do it. :-(

You dont need lift, we installed a set with buddy from under a car. just had to put front wheels on cinder blocks high enough to crawl under the car.

Oh - well I have ramps that I use for my cars that are probably about that height.
The instructions were saying it needed to be up 24" minimum though which would be ~2.5 times what ramps do.
I never guessed one would have to do it from the bottom since it always seemed to me like there was so much room
in the engine compartment with that little 318 in there.
Ofcourse the instructions are for every type of dodge that ever had a 318,
so I would think the charger would be easier than most - being so big. :icon_smile_tongue:
