That all depends on your priorities.  Do you want a car that in the end will cost you much more than a finished car because you want to be involved in doing a project?  Or do you want to keep it within budget and mainly drive it while you wrench on it from time to time?  Personaly I love restoring carswhich is why I did it for a living for so long, but time restraints force me to sell my project and find a car that could be driven.  Looking back that wasn't such a bad thing either.   :icon_smile_big:

Daytona R/T SE

The entire radiator core support has been hacked out.  :eek2:

And it needs frame rails.  :slap:

It's missing the grille and a lot of other expensive stuff.  ::)

That thing makes my piece of shit '68 look GOOD.  :Twocents:

Was just a thought, Ont sucks for trying to fine anything

Is there a high cost involved importing a car from the US?  I would think it would be worth traveling to find a better buy.

Chances are if it needs rails installed, there are lots of other problems under that shady paint job. However, you never know. Go and look at it. I'm skeptical this is a deal considering everything that is missing plus the rust.

Keep looking unless you get it cheap

I've changed my mind don't do it,
The car I'm doing at the moment was still is a roller, it's driven me crazy finding all the missing parts, and I'm in Australia ,
Don't know what fuc# I was thinking,
Where you were restoring parts , I was looking for the parts to buy and then restore
Unless he has all the parts he's taken off,
Find a more complete car that you can will learn how it comes apart  :Twocents:

I keep hearing that these projects cost a lot more what they worth!Obviously if you send it to a shop to fix it up and they charger you 65$/hour it's gonna be expensive!

Can anyone break down the numbers why they cost so much?
Let's say you do the work yourself and only have to pay for material! How much would that car cost to make her a nice driver?Don't mean autocrossing or show quality paintjob, just a very nice driver!

The reason i ask is because there are a lot of threads here when guys tackle cars way worse then this and those cars turn out to be beautiful!

So all those cars cost way more then they worth?

Thanks,
Peter
