Anyone painted the inside of the cowl air intake grill?

I'm trying to figure out a good way to treat and paint the inside of the cowl grill. It's one area giving me fits, I bought Eastwood's spray wand extensions and made adapters to spray OSPHO from a spray bottle. That worked well inside sub frames, between areas like the hood/support frame and inside the rockers. It's all the darn fins of the air grille. Like upside down "U" shapes all in a row I'll need to spray straight up and at a bit of an angle from inside the cowl?  :shruggy:  Inside I have the vent boxes off and the dash out so I can get inside on the sides but really have no control even if I tape the wand to a coat hanger or something.  :scratchchin:

done mine when it was a empty body shell at the time of the resto ,   put the  gun on jet & let it have it from the top through the slots , then from the underside through the wiper holes &  inside fresh air vent holes , used a mini suction fed gun on jet  for that  , also got hand stuck a few times too   ,

I bought some of the eastwoods internal frame coating and plan on using the hose/spray nozzle to coat the inside of the cowl.  :Two cents:

When I was doing my V21 last year, I just used a rattle can of Rustoleum Semi Gloss Black & used a spray nozzle from a WD-40 can with the red "straw" attached....crude but worked well

Maybe over the top, but I took my cowl panel of to paint it underneath.....

I masked off the grille openings to prevent paint dust from later paintwork to swirl down. I figured a way of doing so I can remove the masking material later on trough the vent holes.

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...
