got an early christmas gift from my cousin today, i thought it was worth a post, i cant wait to start the build!

That is a great model kit. It was originally issued as the #43 with a clear plastic body because of all of the detail it has. You will be pleased. It is very accurate.

The big 1/16th General Lee model kit is basically that same chassis too.  

It still has the '71-74 Charger rollcage shape under the '69 body.

Never saw that kit but yeah that cage sure doesn't look like a fit.

The cage doesn't fit at all.  The wheelwells in the body shell are also cut to fit the NASCAR kit's (slight shorter) wheelbase and lower front end ride height too.

There was a 1/16 resin conversion to make this kit into a Daytona.

I like it. I could have had some fun with that. Looks good with the dogged out wheel openings.

Yes it does.     I could not afford the Petty or Baker 1/16 kits when they came out the first time.   They were spendy.
