Lifting one side of engine?

I need to lift the drivers side of the engine, so I can get a header in.  What's the best way to do this?  Might mention I have an AlterK with a 440.
Thanks
I used to have a handle on life....but it broke off.

remove motor mount bolt on drivers side, loosen passenger side bolt a bit, block of wood under oil pan and floor jack will lift it up a bit

Well, after removing the steering, from the rack. Removing the starter.  Lifting the engine 4".  Plus, having the flatten no. 4 tube, at the top.  I finally have the header in.
You know, when I got the AlterK, I thought the headers were not going to be a problem.  Lots of people on this site and other sites, gave many suggestion, on headers.  Some said "B" bodys would work.  I tried for a full day to get them to work.  As I had a set from my Charger.  Next were TTIs.  A bud has a set and we tried for a few hours, no luck.  Next were Shumacher Tri-Ys.  I talk with their rep and he assured me they would fit.  As they are designed for Big block A bods. So I spent the money.   Passenger side was supposed to be an easy drop in from above. Finally had to work them in from below.  And, you know, the story, about the drivers side.
Man!  I really hate putting headers on.

When I ever remove mine, it may be with a sawzall.

Uuuugh headers man....  Always been a problem for me on any car ive worked on.   My charger has got such a tight fit, there's a dent built into it, mushing it up against the steering box (i hate that).   I was gonna buy a remote start but quickly realized that my headers form a impenetrable force field around my starter!  I hope that starter doesnt go bad anytime soon lol cuz it looks like im gonna have to do what you just did to get the headers off.

It's a shame I don't know what brand my headers are because they seem to fit quite nicely.  I have enough clearance evrywhere and had enough space to install a new gasket without too much trouble.  Getting the old gasket off was a bit tricky but that's to be expected.

That metal rattle sound at the collectors is what's starting to get to me though.  The sound out of the tailpipes is awesome but the sound next to the doors not so much.

My last header replacement was not so much about lifting the engine as it was getting the entire nose of the car high enough to get the angle steep enough to slide them in. Once that was accomplished, I was surprised how easily the old Hookers and new TTIs came out and went in.

Yes, I also dropped the starter and the drag link to get the old ones out. Sometimes that is the price of playing with long tubes. However, I am really surprised that an Alterk system gave you that much trouble without the huge K frame and torsion bar interference that occurs with a stock system.
