I went to a local shop and they said its in the thousands... Now granted i live in monterey california (just got stationed here), but that seems waaaaay out of my price range... What is a realistic price?

Go over to Salinas and look around. More reasonable prices in Salinas. Where are you stationed at? NPS or DLI. The Army used to have a shop over on Fort Ord with lifts to work on your car. Good luck

yeap, but I meant, for that price I should guess they'll do the correct elastomeric treatment, then paint.

Elastomeric treatment is kinda a rubberized material over the bumper, then the paint. I have pics of that BUT, my HDD is corrupted at this moment and need to fix that yet
