Yea i know that part. What i was referring to is that the spring is compressed using that u-bolt so if you cut it and took it off you would play hell compressing it again to be able to start the nut.

For that I would use a 5" C clamp to hold the pieces together while I put the ubolts on.  A little more work, but the clean look of the finished product would be worth it.
When someone is absolutely 100% sure they know exactly what your problem is and how to fix it, it's time to ask someone else!

That would be a plan. BTW i do plan on cutting them down my self.

Are the spring helpers adjustable for ride height?

keith88

They say yes depends on who much you tighten down the u-bolt ,I went all the way.

Could you install with the studs facing up so that you would keep the ride height adjustability while making the bolts less visible?

Do you think it would work to flip the ubolt upside down to retain adjustability though?

I dont know they are designed to be used on top of the spring to do it the other way you would have to call the company to see what they say for sure but i dont think it would work.

Just installed the helwig 1500 pound helpers and they made a even bigger difference the car now sit 3' higher than with just the stock springs and 1 1/2 higher than with the superior 1000 pound helpers the best part is that they install one the top of the spring and are not as easy to see. I highly recommend these to any one looking for a set of helpers, they have given me back the ride height i wanted with out air shocks.
