Wanting to get some input from you guys. . . I am currently running an Eddy CH-28 2x4bbl dual-plane intake w/ 2 550cfm Eddy (Weber) carbs on my 0.030 over 'mild' 440 in my '68 Charger 4-SPD. I picked-up a Mopar Perf 4bbl single-plane high-rise intake & Holley Dominator 750cfm DP that I'm going to fit, just for giggles. I know the single 4 will make more HP, I always kinda liked rolling on the rear 2bbl, then matting it for 8bbl, she sounds like she could EAT a BABY! It'll prolly need more cfm for absolute power, but this package was priced very inexpensive, so it's where I'm starting. My question is, I run an MSD 6AL so the box & coil are on my fender, nearest the dist; I REALLY dis-like the coil mount bracket on the intake, and I was considering clearing out all the extra aluminum between the runners, making it look more like a Victor Jr. or Indy intake, bead blast & clear once extra material is gone. I know 'how' to do this, I went to school for Mech Engr & I have a friend w/ a Bridgeport mill, just wondering if you guys think it's worth the time/effort to do it or if anyone else has done it? Any comments would be appreciated. Quick & dirty Paint PhotoShop attempt to give you an idea what I'm shooting for. . . Thx.

I vote do it , sounds like you access to machinery to quicken process,
Gussets there only to brace mounting boss's for coil, mines a victor intake so can understand you wanting to clear and make it look uncluttered  :2thumbs:
