Country Music Star Buck Owens, past away yesterday morning at his home here in Bakersfield. I saw him perform Friday night at his night club "The Cristal Palace". I go there once a month or so for a good meal and to leason to the band play afterwords. He didn't sound as good as when he was in his hayday. But he was in good spirits and it was good to see him doing what he enjoied. What a shock to find out the next morning he had past.

Wow, that would be a shock...to see him perform the day before he died...wow. That's almost like those folks who bought tickets for Elvis' next performance that never came.

I stll remember him from the "Hee-Haw" crowd.
RIP, Buck.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

It's a sad day for me. Buck Owens is one of my favorites.  :'(

TruckDriver

Gee, I grew up watching HEE Haw. I always liked "I got a tiger by the Tail" RIP Buck :'(

My uncle Jack Arnold used to play guitar with Roy Clark before Buck Owens. I don't know what happend but my uncle and Roy split up and Buck became his partner on the tv show. I don't much more than that but when my uncle was teaching me martial arts as a teenager, he had photos of himself with Roy playing on a stage and many autographs around the room.
Glad you got to see him DropTop before he passed.

Jack Arnold? Any relation to Eddy?

I almost remember Hee Haw... had to do a google search to find out who he was though.  Wasnt Hee Haw on Saturday afternoon after The Muppet Show?  about 1977~1980?

Buck was a heck of a nice guy.  I got to meet him during a Hee Haw taping in 1973.  The show was taped at the local Channel 5 here in Nashville, in a very small studio.  I remember how accomodating Buck was in allowing us to watch the taping.  It was the experience of a lifetime, being 17 years old and hanging out with all the Hee Haw girls, especially Barbi Benton.
Thanks Buck...R.I.P.
