I am from northern Ontario Canada and am wondering if it is legal to cover the front and rear side marker lights on a GL build?

you mean weld the holes shut? or like.. cover them with tape? in ontario both are surprisingly legal on 1970 and older cars, its really weird, on 71 and newer cars your only option is to weld them shut and remove the wiring  :shruggy:

Yes weld them shut. I like the look better.
