Is there any way of knowing what wheels my 69 had when it left the factory by looking at the fender tag?

Yes somewhat, what appears for "W" codes?

The "W" there is for the interior trim color meaning there isn't an optional "W" in the top row (which I should have been clearer about).  To me this indicates the car came with the standard steel wheel and hubcap.  I defer to the guys like tantop and 69CoronetRT who are good at that, I'm more of an interested hack.

Here's the page from the 69 Data Book courtesy of the Hamtramck Registry.

Thanks Ghoste...so if the tag doesn't have the codes for the wheels and steering wheels, i should assume mine had the standard versions?

Basically yes.  (again, I'm pretty amateur at this)

as far as I know ,  wheel & steering wheel option codes , have never / do not appear on Hamtramck fender tags ( cant say for other assembly plants )  , you will only find that information on the Broadcast sheet &  window sticker

Ghoste, the page from the data book must be the "early" data book as it shows the optional "recall" wheels in the 15" selection.  My Charger built later in the year (SPD 314) came with 15" Extra Heavy Duty steel wheels with the full wheel covers that were shown to be available for Hemicars after the other wheels you pictured were recalled.

I know I have seen the wheel covers mine was delivered with in another picture of the 1969 data book. I do have my broadcast sheet and it shows my particular selections on it.

Again, the steering wheel/wheel options were not on the fender tag, only on the broadcast sheet and window sticker

Dreamcar

Since the broadcast sheet is gone, I guess I can do what I want. Does Chrysler have a database that I could request a copy of the build sheet?

Unfortunately not for a 69.

I concur...no wheel codes on fender tag....only BS

I thought optional ones were.  Definitely not questioning anyone on it, just observing my misinformation.
