I've got new O rings for my 89 Cherokee, one has just the very tiniest little leak at cold start up. I recall replacing the fuel rail on my 90 New Yorker years ago and in a bind wiping spit on them to ease installing. Is there a lube made for this job?

i use Dr trany;s transmission assembly lube. its basically trans fluid and Vaseline mixed. you can use just Vaseline or a small amount of grease.  just  make sure the kids aren't around.   lol

do not use regular grease..it will ruin the o-ring....use dialectic grease on them, or some of that disc brake caliper slider lube

Motor oil is what is suggested by Chrysler for new oil ring installation, at least for the LX platforms. If you have a leaking O-ring nothing will seal it as lubes only are made to ease installation. Only real solution is to remove injector, inspect ring seal into insure there is no debris or rough surface causing the ring to not seat. Then install a new ring, never reuse rings, coating lightly before sliding onto injector and before re-installing in vehicle.

Thanks monk, yea I'm replacing all 12 just to fix one. (Not taking chances or cutting corners, the Jeep runs like a champ!)
