CDMA with SIM card? ( turning out into Iphone related deal )

Usually GSM technology is associatted with SIM card ( mini, micro, nano ) and CDMA not. But... There is CDMA with SIM Cards?

My last two CDMA phones had SIM cards, but I had to switch the phone settings to use them in GSM mode. I use Verizon, but if I switch to GSM mode in the U.S., my phone registers with T-Mobile.

mmm... I'm pointing out to an Iphone 5S, but being outside USA, I'm trying to sway any CDMA conection. Internationally CDMA is not anymore on top... beside they usually need to take it to the carrier to get it set. GSM is way easier... just the SIM and done

Now... specific Iphone question... get an "factory unlocked" AT&T phone in a sealed box, would be the same than get a T-Mobile phone in a box ?

the only factory unlocked phone offered there is T-Mobile or Sim Free... AT&T ( which is GSM, the other two are CDMA ) appears with contract ( so, theorically locked ? )

however, if you search on ebay, you'll find "factory unlocked" AT&T ? some still in sealed boxes ?. I guess you can get unlocked get it out from the box, but if so, then is NOT factory unlocked... or Am I wrong ?

- By model numbers the A1533 are factory unlocked
-a T-Mobile 32 Gb Space gray MPN is ME326LL/A
- same to AT&T MPN is ME308LL/A

how a ME308LL/A Phone can be an A1533 model ( factory unlocked ), IF is an AT&T and they ARE NOT OFFERED on apple store as factory unlocked ?
