I want a good reel mounted work light for my garage instead of the cheapie ones you get at a big box store (like the last couple I've had).  What brand might well recommended?  (I'm looking at Bayco?)

I got this one not long ago. Works really nice, seems good quality. Input and end on my old one and use it as a extension cord reel.

I really like the LED ones myself. Much less a fire hazard. BUT anything with a receptacle is not OSHA compliant (great for home , not for shop).  I'll butt out now.....  :eek2:

There is one OSHO one out there I think.  I have a light unit itself that "accidentally" left the Windsor assembly plant a few decades ago and I want to put that head on a reliable cord and reel so the OSHA part becomes somewhat a non issue in my case anyway.

reel lights are good stow away neat & tidy when not in use  , but if you using  it / them  a lot  moving  form one area of the car to another , &  if the cable inside has memory from being coiled up , especially in winter time ,   it will drive you crazy ,  :yesnod:  :smash:  :Twocents:

I have one now and much prefer them for my usage but the one I have is too light duty.  I cant put the light unit on it that I want to use.

Several years back I bought a Sears Craftsman 25' reel type 3 plug extension cord for my wood shop. Its a medium duty tool and has worked flawlessly. Sears also makes a reel type Craftsman 25' LED work light.
