Perfect color combo on those cars.

Gotta say to me yes that is a much nicer looking car. Seeing how there seems to be more than a few here who like or owned 57 Chevy what are your takes on the fuel injected cars? And of the very few fuel injected cars has anyone seen a 4 door fuel injected Chevy? I have seen 2 of them that are 4 door fuel injected cars. Not my cup of tea but I hear their value is north of $275k.

The fuelies are certainly worth more although if its north of 275k its better than any I've ever seen.  The fuelie ones need to be properly maintained to work right but when they do its a slick setup.

I believe this topic is in the wrong place to ask.  I'd rather own a 57 Desoto convertible. At least it is in the Chrysler family. :Twocents:

Old topic but whatta hell,i found some photos on my -57 i use to have.Lot's of rubber smelling memories.Well soon my charger will have it's new heart and will see if she can soon match the speed.
First on is free breather 350,TF head's,solid roller and 10.1 comp.Th350,3200stall and 3.73 gear's.All steel,best run was 12.02/112mph
Pump gas, street driven anywhere i went.

Seccond version was again 350 but 6-71 GMC blower on it,AFR head's,solid roller,th400,3800stall and 3.73 gear.Best run 10.91/128mph.Best 1/8mile 6.98.
Again pump gas,12psi of boost, daily commuter, huge gas bill's but she was worth it.

Nice one Stuubi, looks like a beast

I'd have to plump for a D Letter Car

or a 59 with a D500 package

or maybe even a 300J with ram for a point of difference

Never too old of a thread to post a beauty like that. I sure would like to see what you do to your Charger after seeing what you did with your ex-57.

btw love that paint job.

my '57 4door. Had a 383 stroker with a T5. The Galaxie was my buddy OX's car. And the truck was my buddy B-Dawg. Unfortunately that is all in the past. Ox was KIA on one of our missions in Afghanistan, B-Dawg got sent to Hawaii and he sold the truck before he left. The Galaxie is now with OX's brother, and I sold my '57 to get my '40.
The '57 had long tube headers, nothing else after the speed bumps on base ripped off my mufflers. The MPs loved it. They would pull up next to me and get me to smoke the tires.
