Correct Paint for First Gen EL Needles

I restore these first gen EL clusters as a hobby business. Have gotten several in recently where someone had tried to brighten up the needles using regular fluorescent orange needle paint. Since that paint is not translucent, no light will shine thru it when the cluster it lit up. I use translucent orange glass paint, available at most hobby stores like Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Several thin coats once the needle is stripped of any old paint and you're back in business. Thought it might be helpful to someone out there...

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Wish I had known that a few years ago.  Great info though and better late than never thanks.  :2thumbs:
