Hey guys just purchased a 440 engine and transmission,it did come out of a jensen interceptor with 60,000 miles on it.does not look like it has ever been apart,what do i need to do to get it to magnum spec??thanks in advance guys :2thumbs:

just wondering if the numbers stamped mean anything or not even relavant because it was a jensen and not a proper mopar(probably get shot for saying that :lol:)

Ray, the first thing you need to do is convert the engine from Liters to Cubic Inches!  :icon_smile_wink:

Where they not the same specks inside the motor?  :scratchchin: Now the exhaust manifolds, they would have to go!

Block is correctly stamped for a '73 but the trans is a '72. Anything stamped on the raised pad on the bellhousing?

Hi John,if it is the raised pad on the right hand side of the bellhousing that is blank??would this have the lockup clutch in the torque converter,does that make any differance??would it shift the same as my'68??thanks for the input guys :2thumbs: :cheers:

Lockup didn't arrive until '78.

The '72 trans might have part throttle kickdown, other than that it wouldn't shift much different than a '68.
