Has anyone used the old type battery caps on the newer non-maintenance battery with success?

I have not used them but, I think you ought to be able to use them.  Really not sure, though.  On my Charger, I have a "repro MOPAR battery that is an AGM model.  No Fumes!  It will not promote rust do to the fumes on the paint! 

In case you do not know, AGM is "Absorbed Glass Mat" and the battery is sealed and can be mounted in any position and it will not leak! I am very happy with mine!

I have one I purchased from Mancini racing eight months ago and have had no issues at all.  In the past,  I had the ones that were vented and they were horrible.  When not in use I keep a battery tender on it.
