440 block from superbird for sale

440 block from 70 Superbird, please contact me if you want the numbers matching motor for your car. Block is excellent shape, has been crack checked and is still standard bore. Will not hold you ransom for the block, would prefer mopar parts trade of some sort.

Does the font of the "0" look wrong to anyone else?
A couple of years ago a guy contacted me through MOPARTS and told me that he had my original block stamped with my VIN.
He provided a pic of it that PettyBird overlayed with a pic of a known authentic VIN stamp from another Superbird only 32 numbers away from mine.
Obviously the font wasnt right on the block he was trying to sell me for $2,500 so I passed.
The "0" on the restamp looks similar to the font on this block for sale as opposed to the more "Squared" correct "0".

I also just noticed that the "4" and the "0" on the engine ID pad look to be the correct font but are different from the panrail stampings - were different fonted stamps used on the same engine?

The top pad was stamped at the engine plant and the VIN at the assembly plant so they will be different.

Scott, the "0" on the restampped block is just one numeral.  The rest of the numbers are off as well.  Notice the bottom of the 1 on the restamp has the little horizontal bar on the bottom of the number "_".  If you look at the correct stamp there isn't one.  The 8, A, 4, are all off too, off as in not an authentic Mopar stamp.
