What is frustrating about this is Venezuella all allong the years supported all the latinamerican dictatorships refugees, and helped to every country around... and now same countries Venezuela helped are on an accomplice silence

I know it sucks doesn't Nacho....I feel bad for you ....but now you know how we feel in the US....we extend our hand to everybody...and when they get here they do their best to turn it in to the pest hole they just left.....Your country helped them out....now they will do their best to destroy it....

Were it up to me we'd be down there helping out istead of sending billions in aid to nations that hate us. IMO the US is missing out on a.mutually beneficial opportunity by ignoring your plight. Venezuelans want freedom and we want a friend with lots.of oil. Seriously though, I don't understand the silence and neglect on the issue either.

on a good part... Two National Guards Coronels are on detention right now on the city of Valencia ( 3 hours from where I am ) because denied to act against a manifestants group.

maybe some elements of the Armed Forces are begining to be rational right now

I may be a forever an optimist but it seems harder and harder for governments to get away with what they have in the past.

The way we communicate these days puts them in the spot light like never before and the whole world can see.

I'm with the rest of the posters here in that we are concerned. And that you be wary and careful. It's hard to say how I would feel unless I was in your shoes Natcho. --Something like this needs to confront us in order to know how it feels.

This may be considered a political issue and thereby inappropriate for this forum but if we are restrained in our postings perhaps we can follow what Natcho has to share with us and learn some stuff from his vantage point.

for a while Danny Glover was here they are on a public meeting last week. he made an spech and all!!! he got I think 10 Million dollars from Venezuelan goverment to make a Movie ( for a while our markets are partially empty )



and, well, Oliver Stone made a movie about Chavez, what goverment MADE US TO WATCH ON TV on all TV channels at the same time ( chained ) on march 5th, the day which "officially" Chavez died ( which for us is the day the Chavez wax fixture was finished... really we think he died on last week of December 2012 ). Of course I turned off the TV

A buddy of mine just told me about his Caracas layover. Armed security everywhere. The hotel advised them not to leave the hotel grounds.......not good.

that's true BUT mostly is because the insecurity in the country ( many ppl being robbed and killed ), not really because the actual political situation. The hotel advises about that has being pressent since years now. Actual situation just adds more to the jar.

If ppl wants to check videos made and edited by some buddies I know and work, check Braulio Jatar Videos on Youtube. Of course is just ONE  camera man, so he can just record one of the fights at the time, but there are dozens around the country. Some are worst than the videos recorded specially in a city called San Cristobal.
