i think the orange would look better in a sublime car tho ...

I tend to favor the orange over the blue but that's my personal preference and I thinks it will make it way faster!!

I guess it depends on how much grief you want on the back end. If you are willing to put up with A LOT of people pointing out you have an orange 318 instead of the correct color, go for it. If you are not a guy that likes to put up with a lot of BS, then the original color is probably best.

If you like doing things twice, go with the orange for now. You can redo everything again in the future.

The car will eventually be sold (or crushed). If a sale is in the future (unless you will be buried in it) and you want to drive down the price, go with orange.

I'm gonna vote for orange, simply because I think it would go with sublime better. I have the numbers matching 318 in my 1973 Duster. It was blue (or what was left of blue) when I purchased it. I painted it Hemi Orange when we pulled it out in 2010 for an engine compartment overhaul. I've honestly never once had a person point out it was incorrect. Quite the opposite actually, I've gotten tons of compliments on it :shruggy:

i went with a semi gloss black engine block, oil pan, and trans, and everything else, is an aluminum paint water pump housing, oil pump, pulleys, raw aluminum heads, and chrome valve covers and and air cleaner and silver headers, not easy todo but i it looks AWSOME, orange is cool and blue is neat but i like to make my engine, MY engine, inside and out

personally i think if its not stock, why make it look stock? noone can say anything bad about a sexy paint job on an engine that whoops them
