is the 383 magnum pie tin correct on this car

No... especially on a car with A/C.

An H in the VIN only tells you the car had a 383-4bbl. It does not tell you which 383-4bbl the car got. All three of the engines below code 62 and H in the VIN. All are different assemblies.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

So the correct pie tin would be "383 Four Barrel" (red)  :shruggy:

Early 68's had dual snorkel air cleaner with no pie tins and then mid production they switched to unsilenced air cleaners with pie tins :shruggy:

BTW Nice original 68 Charger in that ad.

I see a build sheet, that will tell the story, look at engine code,

Mytur Binsdirti

He has it for sale on Moparts right now for $21,500. I talked with him a couple weeks ago & while it's all original, it need a rear valance, bottom of one quarter & the bottom of the rear window is rotting. Also, the underside looks pretty crusty. It's a decent car, but it ]needs to be done over & as we all know, projects always have a way of mushrooming. The current bid is more than I'd pay, but that's just me.

F8-4life

I like it alot, I'd just drive it as is.
Good color in og paint with no vinyl & the right year.

TUFCAT

The car is about 30 minutes from me.. If anyone is seriously interested, shoot me a PM and I'll go look at it for you.

ooohhh . . .  that rare gold interior color!

Same here. Actually only about 15 minutes for me. I would love to have it and drive it the way it is. Just don't have the extra money at this time. I am sure it will sell for stupid money on eBay.

I have a H code 68. In all the research I have done, I think they came with the unsilenced aircleaner and no pie tin. However I put a 383 four barrel pie tin on mine so people would stop asking me what size the engine was so much at the car shows....guess what they stand there and look at the engine and still ask if it is a 383 or 440  :)
