Sinkhole at corvette Museum Swallows 8 vettes

You know when I went down to Arkansas to get the 69 we went right by that place and if we had time i would have suggested stopping in, now I kind of wish we did.

Don't beat yerself up ol' buddy....I don't think a 20Ft deep X 40Ft wide sinkhole swallowing up eight of the most significant Corvettes was on anyone's prediction list this year! 

It's a lot deeper than that, unfortunately

Here is one of the smaller sinkholes (from an abandoned mine)  in a local golf course a couple years ago...a "smaller" one....that golf course is shut down now...a new mine bought everything up...it is now an open pit...

Its been over a week since I've heard any news from Bowling Green about the recovery attempts.  The last car out was this 1984 PPG Indy pace car thingy...

Has anyone heard if the rescue operation is stalled or what?

To my knowledge they are all out and on display.   Will stay that way for a year then restore

Three are still in the hole. They stopped operations to shore the hole and micro pile around the perimeter.

I wish I had time to stop, I wouldn't mind seeing the carnage and I'll be driving right by that place tomorrow.
