Hi

I am currently having my clutch and pressure plate rebuilt for my Superbird
The pressure plate is a Borg and Beck centrifugal pressure plate.

I have read that using a centrifugal pressure plate, I should remove the clutch pedal spring (the one under the dash).
Is this correct!!!???
If so, why?

Thanks

I hadn't heard that before but a centrifugal and a B&B are two different styles.  Do you have just a few large clutch fingers or are there an entire series of them side by side all around the perimeter?

Hi

Here is the pressure plate in question.

There are many discussions about removing the pedal spring when using a centrifugal clutch.

Diaphragm pressure plates are the ones that usually need the overcenter spring removed, centrifugal weights can be added to any style PP.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
