So I'm out at the rifle range this morning putting the initial 50 rounds of scatter shot through my sweet new
Mossberg SA20 tactical. 10 and 25 yard range, zeroing a basic red dot as well.

Guy next to me has a very nice shiny new Springfield Armory 1911 .45 he's putting rds through and we get to talking.

Nice guy, clearly a longtime transplant from the UK. As we're jawing he says, "you might have guessed
I'm originally from the UK". The guys lived here for decades but the accent is still quite clear.

Smart ass that I am I respond by saying with a grin, "I would've guessed New Zealand". You would've though I pooped in his porridge.

He says back to me,"Sheeeit!", also with a grin. Curious reaction I thought and I've never heard a Brit say
"Sheeeit" before. Just didn't sound right. 

It was a great day at the range. He put some rounds down range with my Mossberg and me with his .45.

I meet some of the best people at the range and car shows or events.

Sounds like a great day at the range!  I don't get to the range nearly as often as I would like any more but, I have also met some nice people there.

I'm curious about the Brit...Kiwi....Ozzy thang. Is it a Yankee vs rebel thing, or simply a national pride thing?

aussies rib every one   it s a national pass time   the kiwi's give as good as they take and we all know its just harmless fun    pomm's take it personal for some reason   everything's a competition      and they hate that were better at things than they are

That's strange. Lots of people in DC and on the news are always saying that people who own guns are bad.

We are bad people, responsible, self sufficient, violence mongers, don't tread on me types........bad to the bone.

And we're all over the world. 

Life would get pretty boring without healthy doses of hood natured ribbing.
