I have an edlebrock 4 barrel aftermarket carburetor on my car. What is the best and easiest way to tune it or know it's in tune properly. I don't have an gauges or anything just a screwdriver and ear. Lol

You may want to buy Edelbrock's specific tuning and calibration kit for your particular 'carb model.  There are different ways to tune a 'carb, but if you're unsure where to start just download the Edelbrock manual for their 'carbs.  You will also have to invest in a timing light, or a vacuum gauge or a tachometer or "D" all of the above, to help in your tuning.  Or, if you want to get fancy you can buy a wideband 02 sensor kit.  Keep that screwdriver close by...

Throw it away and buy a holley.... :smilielol: sorry, couldnt help it!  :coolgleamA: but seriously. A screwdriver is only good for setting idle mixture. You need their kit to tune it. Eddys are finicky, but if you get it right, it will be good. Ipersonally dont like them.

X2!!!  I have had good luck tuning the 600 edelbrock's but no luck with the 750's. Save yourself some trouble and get you a holley!!!  :icon_smile_big:

check the color of your plugs. I had a 600 {625?) edelbrock on my stock 440 ran ok but plugs were black. I also tried a 600 (625?} factory carter AVS and the plugs were  light brown ran a lot better than the edelbrock {afb}. Not saying that the carter is a better carb but the edelbeock with correct jet and rod combination may give the same or better results. The edelbrock thunder series is the same as the carter avs

I need to just just stick a demo on it. It had a 750 Holley double pumper on it when I initially bought it and the guy I sold it to changed it out for this edlebrock..

You sold the car?

Well, Holley or Edelbrock, you're going to need some or all of the tools above in order to dial in your 'carb...
