I don't know why anyone would buy a car on e bay without being able to physically inspect it somehow first.  Whether in person or through an intermediary.

Well I guess these days people are more desperate for these cars; people are certainly willing to pay the bigger bucks, for sure.  I would also never agree to buy a car, especially an older one like our cars, without being able to see it in person, but we come from an age when buying a 60's Mopar was as easy as riding your BMX down to the local church with cash in hand and then coming back home with the BMX in the trunk of your new Mopar...

Anybody who just buys a car off evil bay without inspecting it in person deserves the royal hosing they get.
it kills me that more research is put into buying freaking car insurance at cut rate prices than buying older muscle cars.

1st listing for a dealer: questionable
Everything is original and in perfect condition, but it got repainted 10 years ago. Paint was bad but vinyl was perfect?

I would never spend that much money without being able to inspect the car. Heck, I made the Toyota dealership put my truck on a lift for me to inspect it before I signed anything.
Just think, spend that kind of money for a "numbers matching car in perfect condition", then it arrives and is not numbers matching and has bubbles under the paint. Try to get the lawyers involved, but the dealer is no longer an eBay member and the address listed is not theirs.

Look at it this way, if it was your car would you sell it for $18500.00? If it sounds to good to be true it probably is. If you watch EBay enough these ads pop up all the time. No feedback seller with an outstanding looking car. It's up for auction but they put a price in the ad. Bet the car is not located where the sellers residence is listed. Contact him and see, but it the same old story.

new ebay seller is only 3 days old....says car is in Florida...does not look like a Florida plate

I say run away....fast

bumper-car

total scam....you can notify ebay about these listings, but they are not as quick as craigslist on removing them....most of these jerks are only interested in the deposit, and then, bye-bye!

It is fun to see these and have to wonder about the scammer?  Is it not true that a good scam is intended to fool the greatest number?

This car (at least by the add description is a museum piece).  I read the add and original is the most used word. What is not original is my question?

Come on you scammers---get up to speed---If you want to rip people off throttle back a bit with the car of your choice and the price you ask.

This seems like a fishing expedition that just entertains.

If someone really wants this car and hopes to get it from this auction than they are the same sort that believes the earth is flat and all humans have a good heart. :slap:

A scam.

Someone had Travis' old Super Bee on E-Bay two weeks ago nearly same kind of ad. It took them 4 days to take down the listing..

Wasnt it a name similar to this that had a car for sale maybe 6 months ago that kept deleting everyones bids and restarting the auction?  Something here reminds me of that. He relisted it like 3 times. Hell I even bid on one to see if he would remove my bid and he did.

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

If you win a car on eBay all you have to do is go look at it, if it is what they said it was and your happy lay down the cash. If it is long distance have someone look at it for you then you know if it is legit or not. Lots of good deals on cheaper cars. Not everyone is a crook but you still have to cover your ass when buying a car.....anywhere you do.

The wheel's are not original. Why would someone put aftermarket wheel's on a 24,000 mile car and the chrome valve covers are not original for a 69 model. Looks like a nice restoration tho. :shruggy:

And somehow I missed the mopar electronic ignition kit that is on there too. Why change the matching distributor out with a non matching electronic unit?? Let's keep in mind that original is the key word here!!!

It's a great upgrade.  I stop using points a long time ago.

Of course its a great upgrade, I haven't ran points in years but if this car has that very low mileage the "original distributor" would be worth more money if it was there instead of the mopar ignition kit being on there that can or should I say could be bought anywhere by anyone.
