I just tried Eastwood's Rust Encapsulator with the 24" extension wand/tube to coat the covered part of my inner roof frame area. It worked like a charm! The tube is slim enough to fit in the slots for bow holder clips and many other areas, even through much of the gap between the roof skin and frame. One can covered all the trouble spots I was worried about, 2-3 cans would do all the hidden areas very well but I'm not going nuts.
The extension comes separate so you only need one if you clean it up right away. You can just order more spray cans of Encapsulator and re use it. I cleaned mine using a syringe and a small piece of clear tube that fit the spray end and the syringe. I took a small bottle of lacquer thinner and filled the syringe by pulling the plunger out then stuck it on the spray end of the wand. Forcing the thinner back out the sprayer backwards had it clean in 2 25cc shots. This is going to work well for the inside of my hood frame also. I have been testing this paint on my car and Jeep with very good results. A quick coat on the outside of my Jeep hood has held up well for going on 2 years, it's gotten a little chalky but stopped the light surface rust with very little prep. As long as the paint is not too thin it gives very good sealing, sands nicely and takes any paint I've tried over it well.  :2thumbs:
I found you can order through eBay and get free shipping, they are fast shippers so no need to make big orders trying to save on shipping costs. This all just saved me a bunch of hassle and time, I was not sure how I was going to coat the areas I was wanting to seal from inside. I have a Shutz gun for undercoat with the extension hose but that is overkill for many areas and the tube is much larger. Last year I tested Rust Bullet and Rust Encapsulator on my car, both penetrate rust about the same, not as deep into the rust as you hope. By grinding away the coatings I could tell how deep. Bullet is really hard, impossible to re sand and the needed 2nd coat time windows were awkward for me not having a shop. I could tell it is tricky to deal with and you better be 100% ready for a big job before starting! Rust Encapsulator was much easier to work with for me and having cans of spray or Qt's for gun spray, roll or brush (Like the inside of my roof.) made it more convenient to work with.

Way to go! Thanks for the product review. Eastwood offers some very good products, clearly this is one of them.
Super news for folks "in process" with their resto's.

70 virgins and and a fifth of Johnny Walker Blue coming your way!

(Ghoste is buying not me) just sayin'
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

Thanks!  I used their epoxy primer also and both are stable over/under each other where I did. My cheap Kirker "Pure White" single stage top coat has/is holding up for a year now.

Ive been using the spray cans and hoses also, using in the same areas.Ive started taping the hoses to a thin peice of steel, makes it a little more rigid and easier to control.Ive started in the frame rails and rockers,it works well after a little trial and error. After spending all the time and money on what you see, its  nice to coat what you can not. moparnut
